This is one of the better Surface targets. With the linux-surface kernel the matrix lists keyboard, touchpad, touchscreen, pen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, speakers, sensors, battery and suspend as working.

The cameras are still listed as work in progress, so video calls do not work. The Type Cover keyboard is detachable and is itself a tweak to get all keys mapped. Without the linux-surface patches the device is far less usable, so this is a patched-kernel machine, not a stock-distro one. The SSD is removable.
