Privacy policy
Data minimisation by default. No account, no newsletter, no lead generation. Your finder answers stay in your browser; they are not sent to us.
The short version
No third-party trackers load until you consent, and there are no advertising or social-media cookies today. Functional storage (currency choice, finder answers) stays in your browser. Analytics, if used at all, are privacy-first and aggregate, with no cross-site tracking.
What we process, and why
- Hosting logs
- The site is served from an EU server (Hetzner, Germany). It keeps standard web-server access logs (IP address, requested URL, time) to serve pages, block abuse and debug errors; rotated routinely, never used for profiling, no cookies set by the server. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Privacy-first analytics
- If enabled, aggregate page views, hosted in the EU; no cross-site tracking, no IP storage. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f), or consent (Art. 6.1.a) if a cookie-based provider is ever used.
- Currency choice

- Amazon Associates is enrolled (US, NL, DE and UK programmes, all approved 2026-05-27). Amazon's own cookies are set by amazon.com / amazon.nl / amazon.de / amazon.co.uk after you click out, never by this site. Other affiliate networks: none are active yet. Legal basis when you choose to click: legitimate interest in completing the redirect you initiated; Amazon's own cookie disclosure applies on their site.
- Email correspondence
- Kept as a thread so we can reply and prove what was said. Legal basis: legitimate interest, or contract pre-step.
Consent banner
On first visit our own cookie banner appears (built in-house, no
third-party consent vendor). "Reject all" is
as prominent as "Accept", with a per-category choice, not a single
switch. No analytics or affiliate cookies load until you choose;
functional localStorage needs no consent. Change your
choice any time via the "Cookies" link in the footer. Choices live
in localStorage, so wiping browser storage brings the
banner back.
Third parties
Deliberately thin. Today your browser touches only our EU web server and, where consent is given, a privacy-first analytics endpoint. No Google Fonts loader (fonts self-hosted), no Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag, no embedded YouTube without consent, no Disqus, no chat widget. Any future affiliate tracking cookie will be listed here before the link loads it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure (subject to legal retention), objection to legitimate-interest processing, and portability, and you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Send any request to the contact address above. We answer within 30 days, usually faster.
Changes to this policy
Material changes carry a new "last updated" date at the top and are noted in the methodology changelog. Cosmetic edits to wording do not.
