ll supported from kernel 5.13 onward, older 20.04 GA kernels lag on the GPU. Webcam is a plain UVC unit. The fingerprint reader pairs with fprintd after a fwupd firmware push. This generation moved to s2idle, so standby drain on the 50 Wh pack is real where the Gen 1 still had S3.

Iris Xe is the real step up over the Gen 1 UHD 620 for video and light GPU work. 8 GB is soldered with one SO-DIMM slot to 48 GB. The 367 nit measured panel is brighter than the older T490 and T14 Gen 1.
