The Synaptics fingerprint reader needs a fwupd firmware push and recent libfprint before it pairs with fprintd. 8 GB is soldered with one SO-DIMM slot for the rest, ceiling 48 GB. Real S3 deep sleep is selectable in BIOS, which is why these stay popular used.
